The next tournament will be the 2010 Flounder Frenzy towards the end of May.  Start to get ready!

Rules for the tournament are:

Rockfish Tournament Rules

1. The captain of the boat must be a MSSA member.
2. All of the crew (no exceptions) must have paid their entry fee prior to fishing
3. The captain must be present (on board) to witness catches and be present at weigh-in.
4. The bounds of the tournament are as follows: Maryland coastal waters which include the bays and legal 3 mile limit in the ocean. Delaware and Virginia waters are excluded.
5. Fish must be measured by the officiating member of the tournament committee at the weigh station(s) – Ocean Pines Marina and Harbor Tackle – see Bev.
6. The length determines the winner.  In the event that 2 or more fish are the same length, then the weight is the determining factor.
   1. In the event that the first, second, or third prize fish are undersize, the MSSA member on board is to measure the fish from the lower jaw of the closed mouth to the tip of the tail on a flat tape measure, and of course, released.

Failure to meet any one of the listed rules makes the crew and the boat ineligible.
